The camera stopped working in Skype for no reason. It works in a test mode only. Only sound works in Skype, the Skype can not detect the videocamera itself.

Same problem here, except mine doesn’t work anywhere (streaming sites like Omegle, Chatroullette, and Facebook) except for test.

Same here.
(I do believe this issues are caused by the newest Flash Player (11.4).)
After every update my cam stops working and I have tried different actions, including:

- Uninstalling the device via the device manager and re-plug it at a different USB slot
- Re-Installed Skype (totally removed anything of Skype, not just the setup)
- Removed CI Driver and re-installed it.
- Rebooted several times between the steps (most of the steps I performed were done twice. One time with reboot every time, other time not)
- Tried Internet Explorer - works

- Chrome and Skype NOT

Anyway, we need a hotfix, since I’m not the only one with this problem.
Would be nice to see a dev/mod/admin post here, so we know that the guys are at least reading this all.

cam is available in devices: CodeLabs Devices->PS3Eye Camera, works fine in CL-EyeTest, but skype doesn’t see it.
PS Cam’s Microphone is available in Skype.
PPS win7 x64 5.1.1.0177, latest flash player update (if it does matter)

well, i’m having the Same Issues’s my self guy’s. I’ve actually tried getting the PS3Eye to work with skype and tried all the same stuff as Tim Brust mentioned. usually one of those would have worked. but this may not have anything to do with the CL-Eye Driver…
any who… i’ll try to continue to work on figuring it out my self. not sure if there is going to be a way though…

Hey Shadow, I’ve been feeling the same way the past couple days, but just download an older version, they all work better anyways it seems.
Skype 6.0 does NOT seem to be allowing the PS3Eye/PSEye to work properly at all… it’s been iffy for me since about Skype 5.8 i believe.

Here is a Link to a Site that has a LOT of Skype Versions, i just grabbed the most popular one(Skype 3.8.0.188 which has been downloaded Over 800K times) and so far i think it’s great compared to the rest of the versions of Skype.
This Link has Skype Version’s from Skype 0.90 all the way up to Skype 5.10.0.116

The Latest Skype Version i can get the PS3Eye to work perfectly fine on is Skype 5.10.0.115

Maybe AlexP can name an ESTA of a fixed version for Skype 5.1+ and Skype 6.0+
(Maybe even Win8 compat)

Until then I guess I’m going to downgrade my Skype.

CL-Eye-Driver-5.3.0.0341

this version DOES work with Skype 6.0

so update your skype and you CL Eye Driver.
